Ekaterina Cultural Foundation: the 10th Plus Anniversary
In the booklet the entire exhibition projects, which took place in the Foundation exhibition halls, from 2012 to 2015 year are reflected.
Over these years, our organization has been engaged in various activities, initiating large-scale events as the Foundation staged exhibitions that were traditional for our halls but also ventured significant experiments. One of the most important projects in recent years, entitled "Reconstruction", was prepared by the Foundation in cooperation with the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture and the XL Project. The most prominent Russian artworks from the 1990's had been exhibited in the Foundation. "Reconstruction" also marked important progress on the Moscow art scene.
In 2013, the Foundation made an essential contribution to the Russia-Netherlands year by setting up an exhibition dedicated to the Dutch photographer Hendrik Kerstens in Moscow, while also providing artworks for the "Russia XXI" project that was held in The Haague.
The projects "Joh Cage's Experiments in Context" and "Surgery" were organized with the support of the Russian National Center for Contemporary Arts signifying the broad cooperation between the two institutions.
The publication as well presents the exhibition projects realized with the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum and also the traditional program of the solo exhibitions - Sergey Shekhovtsov "Short Cut", Andrey Filippov "Department of Eagles", Oleg Tselkov "Ace of Diamonds", timed to coincide with his eightieth anniversary.
